Judgements

The glass exquisite.
The drink virgin.
The flashes blind,
clouding your vision.
Welcome to the new page 3,
but hey, that’s on page 1.
The glass sculpted.
The drink dark.
The murmurings senseless,
and their tones judgemental.
Their looks are scornful,
but do they even care?
The glass clear
The drink cola.
You are the every person,
the girl next door.
To them you are nothing,
but an alcoholic par none.

Jokes apart, it deals with the follies of making judgements based on what you just SEE like the recent Park Hotel party case! Have heard so many ppl (incl. a few bloggers) passing judgement on the gals in the pics and don’t like it. First of all, its personal choice. Secondly none of us is Mr. Good Guy ourselves. If we say someone is a threat to our culture, we should stop and ask ourselves whether, by our own culture yardstick, we ourselves qualify as caretakers!
As for the format, trying for the first time to write something like this. Was trying to structure it in some form that’s consistent and hence the words might have come across as confusing!
