Subs with a stranger

Another of those 55 word shorties..

Sitting two seats away in the departure lounge, he felt threatened as she told him, a complete stranger, all about her trip.

Then she mentioned her “husband and two kids”.

At ease, he soon warmed up to her over foot-longs and soda.

He had concluded that a married desi woman would never hit on strangers.

WHAT!!! A guy (desi or otherwise) feeling threatened when a woman (desi, non-desi, married, single, in-a-relationship) opens up to him??????????? On what planet is this???? :)

  7. alpana http://hathirpithi.blogspot.com

hey anti, good one but what if it is a super sexy desi mom? would lead “krackter” in yr story still have qualms about being hit upon?

  8. aNTi http://www.blogger.com/profile/1193476

alpana: You are not going to put words into my mouth. Some people don’t get into the “Hit me baby, one more time” phase all of a sudden ;) They need to think about it and weigh all options :D

    VC: Welcome to earth!

?!: Ya, certainly missing vital info ;)

    Visit: Nalla conclusion la? :D

Apropos of nothing, your blog could certainly use a makeover. (I HATE ornate blogs that take ages to download on my 14.4 dialup – plus heavy gothic decor makes me want to gag). Some kind of fonts and stuff and SOME color co-ordination … ? ( A brill move @ the live update on the cricket scores. It updates faster than rediff’s live scorecard, which is probably what inspired this … I’ve spent most of the day on the blog!).

?!: I know…That cricket score thing is my baby. Can confidently say that my blog was the first (have most of my old template versions,so with some digging I could establish that claim) to have one of these things. Talked to a Cricinfo employee to make sure they were ok with it. He said that as long as I credit them (i.e. that “Powered by Cricinfo” gif/link), they are fine. I actually helped a couple of other ppl set it up on their blogs too. :D
Ya the blog could use a makeover. But already, considering the professional state I am, I have already started hearing whispers from non-blogger friends that I spend too much time blogging, which in my opinion I don’t. And there is only that much time I can spend on job hunt sites and the ilk before I go mad. So I am using this as a vent to let some steam out. And I actually wrote this particular post on the back of my resume on a late night flight, not wanting to think about other things! So, I am actually waiting to do a makeover here. Its two years now.
Ornate Blog? Hmm.. You talking about the content or the design? :)
Ya, it might take a long time to load cos of all the Javascript based services (like the blogroll). Hmm.. Let me see…soon. Thanks for the feedback though!
