    glad to know another person who has WAAAAAY too much time on their hands..:-D… when i made Pav Bhaji and it looked and tasted almost like the road side dhaabas.. boy! was i delighted or what! :-)

    Max: Yes.. they come out this good once in a blue moon for me, mainly because I am impatient. You don’t have a karandi? The local desi store ought to stock those.

    Me/mlc: Photos should be enjoyed, not analyzed. And while I might possess a keen culinary sense, the dosai is a recent addition to my slowly developing repertoire or recipes. And this is a dosai and not a “roast” as Vallam Kumar would call it. So, it is as thin as it can get.

    mlc: I make dosais from MTR ready mix. And it is usually for a bachelor’s style quick fix dinner/tiffin/brunch. So no elaborate chutneys and what not. I usually have it with whatever I have cooked and stored in the fridge. For example, last night’s side was leftover tomato rasam (thickend by the dal in the bottom) and the mango thokku (without garlic) from a freshly unsealed jar. In fact I hoard half a dozen bottles of the Ruchi version in the kitchen cupboard that I have designated as my pantry.

    MLC: Did you get that key word? Bachelor…Now the trap is set with Dosai as bait. Lets wait and see who falls for Anantha.

    Alright, first of all, Brilliant Song. Have to give it to Harrison and Lennon for that amazing song.

    Second, good connection. Dosas are an awesome invention. The ready made mix is an even better one.
