December 27th, 2007 at 11:14 amMax: I deemed Willow to be unlucky after the World Cup debacle. So I am off Willow forever. But I think you got reamed by that $45.00 s-video cable. I went to Sears (sometime in ‘06) and got one for $10.
JS/Bala: I don’t know if yours was low expecations or an abject lack of any trust in this lineup. In my eyes, Laxman was undone by some awesome bowling, Tendulkar by his height or the lack there of, Ganguly by a combination of a freak bowler and a odd bounce. Yuvraj got a marginal decision. Dhoni got a awesome ball very early. Jaffer and Dravid though, dug their own grave.
I hope Kumble was REALLY joking when he said that Dravid had no choice but to open. The man is in the worst form of his life and we still choose pile on the pressure. But that seems to be the SOP for Indian cricket. Pick someone who is already down that you can easily chop down as the fall guy and thrust them into an experiment. *sigh* I haven’t still had coffee today and I am already livid.
